9/3/2023 0 Comments Rufus teague rubI tried the Rufus Teague rub the other week with great success. Again, the flavor is really good but not fall-off-the-bone tender. Will they improve?Ĭould the rub have anything to do with it? I doubt it but I had to ask. My question is was it just a matter of the time on the smoker not being enough? I foiled them and put them in a warm oven and will give them 1 hour in there before putting in fridge. I also had to cut them in half to fit on the rib racks. Had to shut down the smoking to get to bed. ![]() Delicious - had a smoke ring but not melt in your mouth like I have had from others. More like the taste of smoked pork chops. Before foiling, I tasted some and they were delicious but were not very tender and tasted like ham. Cooked them at 240 avg for 3 hours until most of the bones were pulling back 1/2 inch. ![]() Smelled really garlicy before going on the WSM after 24 hrs in fridge. Just finished my first go with the Rufus Teague rub.
